For more than 25 years, my journey in academia was fueled by a passion for robotics and a curiosity about how technology could shape and improve our world. Over decades of research, teaching, and hands-on innovation, I’ve had the privilege of watching intelligent machines progress from theoretical concepts to practical tools with the power to change lives.
Optima was founded on the belief that technology, when guided by human values, can be a force for real good. Our autonomous farming robots are the result of a lifelong commitment—not only to advancing robotics, but to making sure these advancements serve people in meaningful ways. At Optima, our mission is clear: develop smart, reliable machines that work hand-in-hand with farmers, helping them grow healthier crops, protect our planet, and make their work easier and more rewarding.
